For words you might want to know more
Urinary incontinence is the unintentional passing of urine. It's a common problem thought to affect millions of people. There are several types of urinary incontinence, including: stress incontinence – when urine leaks out at times when your bladder is under pressure; for example, when you cough or laugh.
Endometrosis is a condition resulting from the appearance of endometrial tissue outside the uterus and causing pelvic pain, especially associated with menstruation.
Stress incontinence is usually the result of the weakening of or damage to the muscles used to prevent urination, such as the pelvic floor muscles and the urethral sphincter. Urge incontinence is usually the result of overactivity of the detrusor muscles, which control the bladder.
The idea behind Jude underwear is simple. We wanted to create a product that is discreet, comfortable, safe and absorbs small to medium leaks. Oh - and importantly, is also ethical too; because the materials are sourced from sustainable forests and prevent the traditional landfill that pads and liners produce.
It might be a bit of a boring topic, but the science behind Jude’s underwear is important! Our brilliant product team have a unique three-layer gusset which is designed specifically for urine. This means leaks can be absorbed in one to three seconds, and the unique waterproof side seams ensure complete reassurance that you are safe and secure when wearing them. At Jude, we know that incontinence is hard enough to manage, without worrying about leaking too. Our underwear is feather-soft against your skin, because we chose TENCEL™. Not only soft, TENCEL™ is sourced from sustainable forests. And finally, our pants couldn't be easier to wash from 40 degrees and a pair is a guaranteed to last at least 60 washes!
Jude underwear saves you money and helps the planet too
We always design our products with sustainability in mind - and wearing our pants will save you a whopping £75, in comparison to pads and liners. And when it comes to landfill - making the switch to Jude Leak-proof pants will reduce 6KG of landfill, compared to using competitor pads.
